Rutledge Cancer Foundation hosted the ninth annual Hearts of Gold Luncheon at the Ridglea Country Club on Thursday, September 19th, raising approximately $151,000!
The Hearts of Gold Luncheon is our biggest event of the year and a day of hope and inspiration. Donations are used to help ease the impact of cancer on the lives of teens and young adults, fund research and clinical trials to help raise the rate of survival, and ultimately find a cure.
This year, more than 330 people attended the event, which featured two-time AYA cancer survivor, Sean Swarner. Sean is an author and adventurer and has completed the “7 summits” and climbed Mt. Everest with only one lung!
Next year to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are having a celebration gala on September 19, 2020 at the historic Hilton Fort Worth!
