Hosting an event is a great way to help us further our mission and spread awareness about adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancers.
We have many patient families who plan events based around their loved ones’ hobbies. These include 5ks and fun runs, benefit concerts, sporting events, car shows and more. It’s a great way to continue your loved ones legacy while raising essential funds to support our programs.
We are always in need of items for Carley’s Closet, the new diagnosis bags we give to newly diagnosed patients in the hospital filled with items to bring them comfort and help them feel more at home.
Organizing a drive, either in person or virtually, is a wonderful way to help support our mission.
Complete our online application and we’ll provide you with a guide, resources and everything you need to plan a successful event.
By joining the Cure Club, our Monthly Giving Club, you’re providing more than just a donation. You’re providing ongoing support for our patient programs and research efforts.
It’s a commitment to help us make a difference now in the lives of AYAs with cancer while funding research projects and clinical trials to improve treatment options and ultimately find a cure.
We provide these comfort bags to newly diagnosed AYA cancer patients all year long.
This means there’s always a need for helping us create more. During the holidays, we distribute stockings to all AYA patients in the hospital, creating an even bigger need for volunteers.
For our two annual signature fundraising events, Hearts of Gold and Paddling out Cancer, we have a number of volunteer needs leading up to the event, as well as during the event.
Examples include helping out with mailings and securing auction items and sponsorships to providing on-site help during the events to make sure they run smoothly.
Throughout the year, we can always use help with our mailings soliciting sponsors for various events, thank you letters to donors, as well as other types of donor outreach.
We often need front desk help to answer phones and greet guests as they come to our offices.
Internships for college students are also available. If you’re interested in an internship in learning about non-profit work, event planning, marketing or communications, please email Kelly.
We fund patient programs that address unmet emotional and physical needs.
We work as a catalyst to increase awareness and early detection.
We support research for less toxic, personalized cancer therapies.
