Mike Brown is a Senior Partner in Strategic Transformation and leads the Oncology Solutions practice at Charits, the nation’s largest independent healthcare management consulting firm.
Mike’s healthcare career spans 20 years developing strategy and forming partnerships between academic medical centers and community-based systems.
Prior to joining Chartis, Mike served as President and CEO of MD Anderson Physicians Network and MD Anderson Services Corporation, the subsidiaries responsible for developing and operating the MD Anderson Cancer Network, an affiliated network of 20 health systems, 900+ physicians, and aggregate revenues in excess of $2 billion.
At Chartis, Mike is focused on advising clients on issues facing cancer programs today. His clients include large integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, physician groups ,and non-traditional provider organizations. Mike’s experience in both academic medicine and community-based delivery provides his clients with a unique perspective on a wide range of engagements including strategic planning, partnerships and affiliations, innovative program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
In addition to his client work, Mike frequently presents to health system boards and management teams around developing trends in oncology market dynamics.
Mike lives in Boerne, TX with his wife, Stephanie, and their three children. He also serves on the board of Crestmont Christian Preparatory School in Boerne, and on the Bishop’s Committee of St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Bulverde.
Mike received a Master of Health Administration from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from Oakland University.
